Chevrolet amassed 12 championships in 2020 across numerous disciplines but claimed another one in the merchandising department before the end of the year.
The General Motors brand swept the top-10 spots in the annual list of the most purchased NASCAR diecasts published annually by Lionel Racing. Chase Elliott took eight of the 10 spots with Jimmie Johnson and Bubba Wallace taking the other two.
The list was bookended by the cars Elliott took to victory lane in the final two races of the season at Martinsville and Phoenix en route to capturing his first championship. The car he took to victory lane in the All-Star Race at Bristol with the experimental paint scheme with the numbers pushed back is also included.
The Truck Series entry Elliott piloted at Atlanta when claiming the bounty placed on Kyle Busch also made the list as did the Cup Series Hooters Give a Hoot livery.
The second most sold diecast of the season was the throwback paint scheme piloted by Jimmie Johnson in the Southern 500. That design paid homage to the other members of the seven-time Cup Series champions’ club in Richard Petty and Dale Earnhardt.
The #BlackLivesMatter paint scheme raced by Bubba Wallace at Martinsville moved the third-most number of collectible diecasts.
The complete list can be found below.

Chase Elliott won the relocated All-Star Race at Bristol in July. This race was contested with radically different paint schemes and effects with the cars featuring pushed back numbers and underglow lighting as an experiment for future seasons
Note: Lionel Racing is currently developing a new version of the All-Star diecasts that features a light under the rear bumper. As of now, that version is in pre-production.
3
Bubba Wallace #BlackLivesMatter Camaro
2
Jimmie Johnson Seven-Time Club Camaro
Jimmie Johnson contested his final full-time NASCAR Cup Series in 2020 before transitioning to a part-time IndyCar Series schedule with Chip Ganassi Racing over the next two years. Johnson paid tribute to fellow seven-time champions Dale Earnhardt and Richard Petty in the annual throwback race at Darlington Raceway. The doors mirrored Earnhardt’s No. 3 and the roof reflected Petty’s No. 43.
1
Chase Elliott Cup Championship Camaro
Chase Elliott captured the Cup Series championship with back-to-back wins at Martinsville and Phoenix in November. Both came in his standard NAPA Auto Parts paint scheme.
